Shepherd's View is a unique and spacious chalet that can be rented alone or, for larger groups, in conjunction with one of our other guest homes.  Everything in this special place has a story behind it. We'd love to share them with you during your visit.

Shepherd's View is open year-round and each group is given personal attention.

Shepherd's View, a renovated granary, is a one-of -a-kind second story home. A well lit flight of steps leads to a large deck with an unspoiled view of Lambs Hollow, sheep filled pastures, and the foothills of Evitt's Mountain.  Not a roof top in sight! Private and spacious, it has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to six guests.

Up and away, this is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, a farm experience or a retreat from the "every day" routine.

 

The chalet can sleep up to 6 guests with two large bedrooms and a pullout queen sized sofa. Quality bedding and towels are provided. Baseboard heat is provided with individual room controls for your comfort.  Air conditioning is available for the summer months.

In order to serve all of our guests, there is no smoking in the chalet and pets must stay at home.  Horse boarding is available for an additional fee to our guests who choose to bring their own horse.


2008 Rates

Couple $ 150.00 per night 2 nights minimum stay is required
  • after a 2 nights stay, subsequent nightly rate is $ 99.00
  • weekly rate is $650.00 ( 6 nights and 7 days )
Groups 3 - 4 $ 199.00 per night 2 nights minimum stay is required
  • after a 2 nights stay, subsequent nightly rate is $ 169.00
  • weekly rate is $989.00 ( 6 nights and 7 days )
Groups 5 - 6 $ 249.00 per night 2 nights minimum stay is required
  • after a 2 nights stay, subsequent nightly rate is $ 199.00
  • weekly rate is $1,199.00 ( 6 nights and 7 days )

A 6% PA tax and a 2% local tax are also charged on the rate.
 
Full Farm rental is also available. We extend a special invitation to families and individuals who are planning reunions and weddings to consider Monsour Sheep Farm and Vacation Homes. We would be delighted to assist you in providing a beautiful setting for your special event.

Reservation Policy:
  • A deposit for the first night or half of the total is required to confirm your reservation.
  • Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
  • A full refund, minus a $50 non-refundable reservation fee, per home, will be given if your cancellation is received 30 days before your arrival date.
  • We rent to family groups and adults over the age of 25.
  • Check in time is any time after 12 noon.
  • Check out time is before 4 P.M.
  • Smoking is permitted outside only.
  • No pets are allowed.
